Blue Lotus Hoops Silver
The unusual shape of this earring is based on a form found often in Egyptian hieroglyphics. It is the blue lotus flower rendered in an art deco style. The blue lotus is a symbol representing the sacredness of texts and writing since the Egyptians used the lotus reed to make paper and writing tools.
Treated with an oxide to give it an antiqued look, over time these will oxidize even more with your skin. If you prefer the metal to be shiny simply polish it with brasso and a dry cloth.
The thickness of the wire is 1.2 mm - the wire is made from stainless steel.
The dimensions of the earring is 8 cm wide by 10 cm long. They weigh 30 grams each and work well with tunnels although they can work on a slightly open regular piercing if you are used to heavier earrings.
This listing is for one pair of earrings.
